The battle at Bannockburnwas fought as the English army tried to relieve their garrison at Stirling Castle. This statue to King Robert is on the forecourt of that castle.

This statue to Robert the Bruce is on the wall near the entrance to Edinburgh castle. On the other side of the drawbridge is that other Scottish hero, Sir William Wallace.
