- Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band
The House of Edgar Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band - to give them their full title - was first established in 1910 and is one of the most successful Grade 1 pipe bands in history. They have won the World Championship on no less than 14 occasions since 1948. The band includes top male and female players and a wide age range from youngsters to seniors. Although the members are mainly from Scotland, it currently has Danish, Irish, Canadian (3) and Australian (2) players in its ranks.
