The front of this commemorative note is the standard design for the £10 not featuring Mary Slessor, a missionary in Calabar, West Africa who transformed the treatment of women there. In addition there is a logo of the games and the words "Proud Partner". Clydesdale Bank was a major sponsors of the Scotland Commonwealth Games team. Being a subsidiary of National Australian Bank would no doubt have encouraged the bank to issue a bank note with Australian connections.
