    11 Belford Place in Edinburgh has 2 Double/Twin rooms and 1 Double room and is owned by Lady Sue Kinross who has created tranquil surroundings and gardens which guests can enjoy at their leisure. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated with ample storage and modern en-suite bathrooms. Each room is equipped with a TV, free Wi-Fi internet access, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities, including a mini-fridge. Continental or fully cooked breakfast (which includes Stornoway black pudding, and oven baked croissants). Catering available for specific dietary needs if notified in advance. The location has excellent transport links with easy access to Haymarket station, the airport and Lothian bus routes. There is free on-site car parking and secure luggage storage available.

    A-1 Playfair House is a hostel at 8 Blenheim Place, Royal Terrace, Edinburgh. It is a historic town house built in 1821 in the New Town Preservation area.

    Abbotshill House on the North East Fife/Perthshire border on the edge of Newburgh, is an imposing, period property (circa 1843) offering four-star self-catering, holiday accommodation for up to eight people in four bedrooms. All have a colour television plus video or DVD, drinks cooler, hair dryer and a teasmaid. There are magnificent views over Newburgh, to the Carse of Gowrie, and the Sidlaw Hills beyond.

    Aberdour Hotel, Fife is a family-run Hotel situated in one of Fife's picturesque coastal villages. It specialises in traditional cooking and real ales. In the days before railways and the motor car, it was a staging-post for stage coaches and so has a courtyard and stable block. Although the buildings date back to the 17th century, all the recently refurbished sixteen bedrooms have ensuite facilities.

    Ach na skia Croft provides self catering chalets and a cottage on the rugged and beautiful west coast of the Scottish Highlands at Arisaig. All the properties face towards the sea and have panoramic views towards the islands of Eigg, Rum and the Isle of Skye.     Airds Hotel, Port Appin, Argyll (approximately 20 miles north of Oban and 27 miles south of Fort William) is a family run, luxury 4-star hotel and gourmet restaurant (awarded three Rosettes by the AA and the head chef has won Best Gourmet Menu over £50 at The Scottish Chef Awards 2006). There are special themed weekends and culinary experiences and painting holidays.     AllanBank Bed and Breakfast in Eyemouth provides 4 star accommodation, offering double/twin/super king/single en-suite accommodation. All rooms at AllanBank are situated on the first floor where the diningroom/lounge is also situated. AllanBank Bed and Breakfast is situated in a conservation area but only a short walk from Eyemouth's bustling harbour, coastal path, town centre. Recommended on tripadvisor.

    Altassmore Holiday Cottages in Sutherland have a garden, courtyard, parking and barbecue area and each has a small patio and garden furniture. One cottage is adapted for wheelchair access.     Alyth Hotel in Perthshire is less than 20 miles from Perth and Dundee, between Blairgowrie and Forfar. The hotel is situated in the town square at the centre of Alyth, overlooking the Alyth Burn. Alyth Hotel was formely a coaching Inn incorporating the town's principle coffee house and still has an attractive restaurant.     Anchor Hotel, in the heart of Tarbert, Loch Fyne in one of Argyll's most popular resorts in an idyllic waterside setting at the head of the harbour. The hotel now boasts a new sauna and sunbed. The 2 bedroom apartment (sleeping up to 4 people) has wonderful views across the grounds and to the glorious mountains beyond. The village is just a short stroll from the apartment and has plenty of restaurants, bars and shops available and the Caledonian Canal runs through the village.

    Ardanair is a modern self catering bungalow on the shores of Loch Kanaird, 3 miles from Ullapool. The house has direct access down steps to the pebbled beach and enjoys dramatic views across the bay towards the Isle of Martin and the Summer Isles - and the Web site has a great photo gallery illustrating the surrounding area.

    Ardanaiseig Hotel ten miles from Taynuilt on the shores of Loch Awe in the North West Highlands of Scotland, is more of a private home, open to guests who will appreciate sharing the wonderful hospitality, and lingering magical Celtic atmosphere.     Arden Guest House is situated at the West End of Kingussie within reach of the town centre. Surrounded by its own garden with a large car park, the Highland Victoria Vill retains many period features ina tranquil setting.     Self catering property at Ardnacross, is on a 1200 acre farming estate on North East coast of the the Isle of Mull. There are three separate self catering houses of different sizes - the "Farmhouse" sleeps twelve, the "Square" is for up to six people and there is one bedroom in the "Dairy".     Ardoch Cottage is in the charming village of Gartocharn at the southern end of Loch Lomond and provides award-winning, bed & breakfast accommodation with Four Star Grading from the Scottish Tourist Board. The cottage was originally a toll house on the old military road running between Stirling and Dumbarton Castles and has been restored by the present owners and all three bedrooms have en-suite WC/shower, television and Tea/Coffee making facilities.

    Ardoch Cottage, Orchil Castle, near Braco, Perthshire is a luxury self-catering cottage sleeping 6, in a modern, self-contained wing of this Victorian castle on a beautiful, 35-acre, private estate. There are beautiful views over the Ochil hills and wildlife is abundant, including ospreys which fish on the castle's loch. Nearby is the site of the Ardoch Roman fort and Crieff is not far away.

    Argyll Arms, Bunessan, Isle of Mull, Argyll is right on the waterfront in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. The hotel lies at the southern point of Mull, close to the Isle of Iona, famous for its beautiful Abbey and links to Saint Columba. The hotel is therefore a particularly ideal place to stay for those wishing to visit Iona.

    Atholl Hotel, Aberdeen is four star hotel in the West End of the Granite City, just minutes from the City Centre. VisitScotland Four Star rating, AA 3 star rating.     Atholl Arms Hotel is a small three-star hote in Dunkeld, Perthshire built in 1833, with many original features, some dating back to 1844. There is a private seated garden overlooking the River Tay. Warm and inviting log fires in the lounge and bars and a ull restaurant, bar and an open lounge serving food and drinks all day long and into the evening hours. All 17 rooms are en-suite and tastefully decorated in keeping with the character of this fine Georgian building.

    Auchrannie Country House Hotel, Brodick, Isle of Arran was formerly the home of the Dowager Duchess of Hamilton, widow of the Right Honourable Sir William Alexander Louis Stephen Douglas Hamilton, Twelfth Duke of Hamilton and Earl of Arran. In 1990 an additional 16 bedrooms, leisure facilities, bistro and function suite were added. Scottish Tourist Board "five crown highly commended" (at the time of writing, the only one on the Isle of Arran). There are also traditionally built lodges set within Auchrannie's grounds (Scottish Tourist Board graded "5 Crown deluxe"). Auchrannie lodges are affiliated to Resorts Condominiums International (R.C.I.).

    Averon offers bed and breakfast accommodation in central Edinburgh, 10 minutes walk from the castle and Princes Street. Built in 1770 the Averon Guest House is an example of a Georgian town house and retains much of the original character. Most rooms are en-suite and there is free parking in a car park to the rear of the guest house. There is a walled garden and orchard where guests can relax.

    Aviemore Home - are newly built self-catering cottages which are ideal for families or friends holidaying together. Set next to one another in a quiet cul de sac, they are very well furnished and equipped to a high standard with each house boasting its own hot tub.

    Avonlea provides bed and breakfast accommodation in the quiet outskirts of Portree, Skye, overlook the hills that surround the chief town on the island. Rooms are spacious and all have ensuite facilities. There is one single room, one twin and one double room available from April to October each year.

    Backmarch House is a former Georgian farmhouse built in 1829 which has been renovated to provide quality bed and breakfast accommodation in central Rosyth in Fife (just over the Forth Bridges and not far from Edinburgh. AA and Scottish Tourist Board 4-star rating.

    Balannan Holiday Cottage, Castle Douglas, is set in the heart of the Dumfries and Galloway countryside on a working beef and sheep farm. The cottage is a single storey building, set in it's own spacious garden, and thirty years ago it would have been the home of the farm tractor man. Scottish Tourist Board 3-star.

    Balcarres in Fort William is set in an elevated position in a quiet cul-de-sac. It commands spectacular views over Loch Linnhe and the Morven hills. The owners were born and bred in Fort William and have that essential local knowledge to be able to answer any questions you may have about the area.

    Balbirnie House Hotel, Markinch, Fife is a listed Grade 'A' Georgian country house dating from 1777 in a 416-acre estate and country park landscaped in the style of Capability Brown which includes specimen trees, a collection of rhododendrons, manicured lawns, picturesque flowering borders and trimmed yew hedges. The Scottish Tourist Board has awarded has 5 Crowns Deluxe and the hotel won the 1995 Regional Hotel of the Year award and the 1996 Macallan/Taste of Scotland Hotel of the Year Award.

    Ballachulish Hotel was built in 1640 and is an historic country estate within view of Ben Nevis, close to the Great Glen, and within a stone's throw of Lochs Linnie and Leven. This restored country house offers en suite rooms with Scottish cuisine in a relaxing atmosphere. The house is noted as the site formally occupied by Captain Campbell who was ordered to carry out the massacre in Glencoe. Ballachulish is also famous for the Appin murder, immortalized by Robert Louis Stevenson's "Kidnapped" - Ballachulish House was once home to the Stuarts of Appin.

    Ballater Holiday Cottages on Royal Deeside are close to the centre of the village. There are two cottages - one is a traditional, granite house sleeping up to six people and the other has a comfortable lounge with open fire, a dining kitchen and one double bedroom. Ballater itself is an attractive village with many interesting shops and restaurants, many of which are "By Appointment" to members of the royal family (who live close by at Balmoral Castle).

    Ballathie House in the breathtaking Perthshire countryside near Kinclaven, was previously renowned in its Edwardian heyday as a sporting estate where eminent visitors and royalty were entertained. It was converted to a hotel almost thirty years ago, yet is still essentially a "private" country house.     Ballat Smithy Cottage was created out of an original smithy workshop and is part of a lovely old house built around 1830 by the Duke of Montrose for his Buchanan estates. It is located near Balfron in Stirlingshire on the A811 Stirling to Balloch road and provides self catering accommodation (Scottish Tourist Board four stars) for up to four people in two bedrooms. Ballat Smithy is on the threshold of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park with lovely views of the Campsie Fells and the surrounding fields and woods.

    The Bank has one of the finest views in Anstruther in Fife and is a family run hotel with quality and service in mind. It has eight en-suite guest rooms that can be converted into singles, twins, doubles and we have one family room sleeping two adults and two children in adjoining bedrooms. Large Screen Tv’s, Hospitality Trays, complimentary Shortbread & Mineral Water, Hair Dryers, room Safes & Fridges. Breakfast is included in the price. A large mature gardens is surrounded with substantial stone walls for privacy. The beer garden is open when weather permits and offers a childrens play area.     Bells Brae House is a historic building situated in Edinburgh on the Water of Leith in the peaceful leafy setting of the Dean Village, with its narrow cobbled streets steeped in history. Such tranquillity exists just 5 minutes walk from Princes Street and Edinburgh New Town. The building was originally a 16th Century miller's house built as early as 1597 and was restored in 1948 for the painter Alexander Zyw by the late Sir Basil Spence to incorporate the adjoining Victorian schoolhouse as an artist's studio. It is one of the oldest inhabited domestic buildings in Edinburgh and was recently enhanced by the current owner to offer bed and breakfast in a a combination of period charm and modern luxury.     As its name implies, Ben Nevis View bed and breakfast has plenty of views of Britain's highest mountain, as it is located at Corpach, on the outskirts of Fort William. It is also adjacent to the Caledonian Canal and during the season a steam train passes nearby, twice a day, as an added novelty.

    Bonsyde House Hotel is located in Linlithgow, close to the famous Linlithgow Palace. It is a privately run hotel, with good food in a conservatory restaurant using top quality fresh Scottish ingredients, including game, lamb, beef, and seafood, for which Scotland is justly famous.

    Boreland Farm, in the rolling countryside of Dumfriesshire, between Dunscore and Moniaive on a tiny road overlooking the river Cairn, offers traditional bed and breakfast accomodation ata family run, 19th century farmhouse, in 365 acres of pasture. The land is managed to strict organic standards and there is fishing on the river Cairn for both salmon and trout (when in season).

    Borvemor Blackhouse, Isle of Harris offers self-catering in the first traditional "Blackhouse" to be built for over a century, using stone, wood and thatch. Borvemor Blackhouse does have running water, electricity and excellent plumbing! The walls are lined with pine throughout.
