Chivas Regal Icon Blend Bottle

An Iconic Nip at £2,000 a bottle
A new blend, made by Chivas Regal is to be launched at £2,000 a bottle, including taxes.

The Icon combines whiskies from than 20 distilleries across Scotland, including Strathisla, the oldest operating distillery in the Highlands and some from distilleries now lost forever.

Each bottle, (pictured above), comes with a hand-blown crystal decanter - a reference to the original 1909 green Chivas Regal bottle.

The whisky has been designed by Chivas Regal's master blender Colin Scott, with a limited number of bottles produced each year.

There is a promotional video on the Chivas site at Icon for the Future.

The Icon will go on sale from March in Harrods, an upmarket department store located in Knightsbridge, London (graphic here via Wikimedia Commons ).
