Bridge House is a guest house in the picturesque country village of Hawick. The property dates back to 1760 a time when Hawick was a resting point for travelers between Edinburgh and London and was originally a stable block for the Old Tower Hotel. Lauderdale Hotel, Scottish Borders is a country house hotel in an imposing Edwardian building in its own extensive grounds with fishing and shooting opportunities, at the northern end of the picturesque Royal Burgh of Lauder, 25 miles from Edinburgh . Award winning cuisine, fine wines and malts.

The Lodge at Carfraemill near Lauder in the Scottish Borders is personally run by its owner. It has ten bedrooms, restaurants and traditional standards of service and "home from home" atmosphere. The Lodge has been awarded four stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.

Mansefield Farm Bed and Breakfast is in Greenlaw, Berwickshire, Scottish Borders. It is a family home where there is plenty of room to relax inside or out in the garden. There are three spacious bedrooms. One has an en-suite bathroom, and two other private bath/shower rooms. The en-suite bathroom is generously proportioned and bright with a large shower. Nisbet House is a four-star bed and breakfast establishment in an 18th-century house in Leitholm, Berwickshire, Scottish Borders. It was the former holiday home of famous doll maker Peggy Nisbet. It has spacious, tastefully furnished rooms and comforting log fires. Two luxurious ensuite rooms are available, one double and one twin.

Peebles Hotel Hydro, Scottish Borders, is a high quality establishment usually referred to as "Peebles Hydro" but its full name is the Peebles Hotel Hydropathic. Individual Locations in Dumfries & Galloway

Balannan Holiday Cottage, Castle Douglas, is set in the heart of the Dumfries and Galloway countryside on a working beef and sheep farm. The cottage is a single storey building, set in it's own spacious garden, and thirty years ago it would have been the home of the farm tractor man. Scottish Tourist Board 3-star.

Bay Cottage is close to the River Dee and the Solway Firth on Ross Bay, seven miles from Kirkcudbright in Dumfries & Galloway. The shoreline is a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to the plants and animals there. The cottage has three bedrooms and is an integral part of Ross Farm, a 500 acre establishment which has been in the same family for 4 generations since 1842.

Blackyett Mains in Gretna Green, Dumfries and Galloway is tucked away down a secluded road in its own grounds of fifteen acres. A beautiful barn conversion has been transformed into a stylish bed and breakfast accommodation only five miles from Gretna Green Individually designed rooms offer king size beds with luxurious bedding, television and hospitality trays. The network of quiet roads, cycle routes and the 7stanes means this is an ideal base for cyclists, mountain bikers and walkers.

Boreland Farm, in the rolling countryside of Dumfriesshire, between Dunscore and Moniaive on a tiny road overlooking the river Cairn, offers traditional bed and breakfast accomodation ata family run, 19th century farmhouse, in 365 acres of pasture. The land is managed to strict organic standards and there is fishing on the river Cairn for both salmon and trout (when in season).

11 Church Place, Kirkcudbright, is a traditional stone built listed building at the end of a terrace in a quiet location in the heart of this town on the southern coast of Dumfries and Galloway. It provides self-catering accommodation for up to six peoople with sitting room, kitchen diner, double bedroom en-suite, 2 twin bedrooms and large bathroom.

If you want to stay at a unique location then Corsewall Lighthouse near Stranraer, Dumfries & Galloway, is the place for you since it is the only working lighthouse in Scotland where you can obtain accommodation!

Mill Hotel, Gretna Green, dumfries & Galloway is a family-run hotel in a converted 18th century farmhouse specialising in "Gretna Weddings". An associated site is The Forge for an anvil wedding with candlelit ceremonies and churchlike setting.

Neidpath Inn in Peebles has 4 double rooms and 1 single room. Each of the en-suite rooms is equipped with a flat screen Sky TV and has access to Free Wi-Fi. The Old Exchange is nestled in the heart of the beautiful National Trust Estate of Threave Castle and Gardens, Dumfries Galloway, set on the nature trail that links the internationally renowned Threave Gardens to the magnificent historic ruins of Threave Castle. The Architect designed conversion of the exchange building for 4 self catering holiday apartments for parties of 3 or 4, was completed in 2005. Open Arms Hotel overlooks the 13th century Dirleton Castle and gardens is a family owned business that has provided a warm welcome since 1947. There are two restaurants catering for a range of tastes and many of the twelve rooms have king-sized beds.

Senwick Glebe Annexe provides modern, comfortable and spacious self-catering accommodation for 2+2 people a few miles south of Kirkcudbright in Dumfries and Galloway. With views over the estuary of the river Dee, the Annexe was purpose-built in 2000, attached to the owners home, and is accessed by a private external stairway.

Crosswoodhill Farm Holiday Cottages, West Lothian have 3 award-winning self-catering properties near Edinburgh in the Pentland Hills. One is a self-contained 2-storey apartment in a spacious, handsome, 200 year old, farmhouse. Another is a cottage on the heather-clad moors of the Pentland Hills themselves.

There are three holiday cottages at Eastside, a working family sheep farm of 3000 acres, in the heart of the spectacular scenery of the Pentland Hills Regional Park, Midlothian. The 18th century farm steading has been imaginatively converted into three character filled cottages which sit side by side on the hillside and combine old world charm with all modern conveniences. All cottages have ample parking in the farmyard at the entrance to each cottage and delightful gardens bounded by dry stone dykes at the back of each property. They are situated just six miles from the Edinburgh City by-pass, half a mile beyond Silverburn on the A702.

Fa'side Castle is near the top of a steep hill approximately eight miles east of Edinburgh, and two miles south east of Musselburgh, East Lothian. Within the grounds of the castle is a 17th Century barn which was converted in 1996 into two houses which are both let as self catering accommodation. More recently it has also become possible to stay within the castle. From the top of the tower it is possible to see as far as Dunbar, with panoramic views over the Firth of Forth with the hills of Fife behind. and at closer range the castle overlooks Edinburgh, Dalkeith, Musselburgh and Prestonpans. The castle is surrounded by woodland and arable land surrounds the remains of the barmkin wall, which once enclosed the castle and outbuildings. A horse breeding facility was established on the estate in 2007 and specialises in the breeding of both dressage and sports horses and aims to expand within the near future.

Fenton Tower near North Berwick in East Lothian, is a fortified tower dating from the 16th Century, that now provides luxury accommodation for up to twelve individuals and small groups looking to ‘get away from it all’. This listed ancient monument and a Category A-listed ‘keep’ has recently been meticulously restored under the supervision of Historic Scotland.

Glengair provides bed and breakfast accommodation in North Berwick, East Lothian where there is a wealth of tourist attractions for visitors including 21 golf courses within 20 minutes drive including both Muirfield and Gullane. Hunter Holiday Cottages are situated just outside Rosewell, a historic mining town in the heart of Midlothian. There are detailed maps on how to find the cottages on their web site, Historically they were the coachman’s lodgings for Whitehill House dating back to the early 1700’s. Both Cottages are situated within the character filled stone building with many of the historic features retained. They are fully equipped and also included in the weekly price are logs for the wood burning stoves, electricity, central heating, linen, soft duvets and pillows.

Inveresk House is in Inveresk Village near Musselburgh, East Lothian. Owners Alice and Johnny Chute welcome you to their wonderful home near Edinburgh. Oliver Cromwell stayed here and plotted his siege of Edinburgh Castle; the house is filled with history. The magnificent main rooms are furnished with ornate antiques, squashy sofas in chintzes, flowers, gilt mirrors, gorgeous rugs and Alice's own vibrant art. Bedrooms and bathrooms come with vintage radiators, huge beds, good old-fashioned comfort. Musicians will be happy – there is a baby grand. Melville Castle is in a secluded situation on the bank of the North Esk river within a fifty acre wooded estate, just beyond the south-east boundary of Edinburgh.
