Ardoch Cottage, Orchil Castle, near Braco, Perthshire is a luxury self-catering cottage sleeping 6, in a modern, self-contained wing of this Victorian castle on a beautiful, 35-acre, private estate. There are beautiful views over the Ochil hills and wildlife is abundant, including ospreys which fish on the castle's loch. Nearby is the site of the Ardoch Roman fort and Crieff is not far away.

Ardtalnaig Lodge Bed and Breakfast is near Aberfeldy in Perthshire beside Loch Tay opposite Ben Lawers. Atholl Arms Hotel is a small three-star hote in Dunkeld, Perthshire built in 1833, with many original features, some dating back to 1844. There is a private seated garden overlooking the River Tay. All 17 rooms are en-suite and tastefully decorated in keeping with the character of this fine Georgian building.

Ballathie House in the breathtaking Perthshire countryside near Kinclaven, Perthshire, was previously renowned in its Edwardian heyday as a sporting estate where eminent visitors and royalty were entertained. It was converted to a hotel almost thirty years ago, yet is still essentially a "private" country house. Craigatin House & Courtyard, Pitlochry in Pitlochry Craigatin House is a warm and comfortable home from home, with fourteen well designed, smart and contemporary bedrooms, each one distinctive in size, layout, and colour scheme. Dall Lodge in Killin, Perthshire, overlooks the River Lochay, which flows into Loch Tay on the north side of the village. The web site has lots of photos of the hotel and its scenic location.

Denfield House provides bed and breakfast at Trinity Gask, Auchterarder in Perthshire. East Lodge Cottage is a three-bedroomed, self-catering cottage in a secluded position overlooking the River Ardle near Pitlochry, Perthshire. It was originally built as a two-roomed gate house for Kindrogan Estate and dates from the early 19th Century. Recently extended to include a large lounge, there is a log burning stove, and master bedroom with en-suite shower-room and breakfasting balcony.

The Four Seasons Hotel is situated in St Fillans on the banks of the Loch Earn in Perthshire. Ptarmigan House is a Scottish Tourist Board Three-Star guest house created from a 19th century shooting lodge in Blair Atholl, a mile from Blair Castle, Perthshire. There is also self catering accommodation in a separate house that sleeps up to ten.

Riverview Cottage provides self-catering in the rural Scottish Perthshire village of Kirkmichael, twelve miles from Pitlochry, with a south facing garden stretching down to a picnic table and River Ardle - trout fishing from the garden is also included! The traditional terraced cottage has been refurbished but retains many of its original features.

The Royal Hotel in Comrie, Perthshire is a 17th century coaching house Hotel in Strathearn. It's name was bestowed by Queen Victoria and the hotel was restored by its owners in 1996 with the aim of creating "a beautiful, intimate, small, luxury hotel". They have 11 bedrooms, and a self catering town house, along with a rosette awarded restaurant. Family run, the hotel has a good repuation for a warm Scottish welcome from the staff, along with a stylish decor. Guests are able to relax in the walled garden in the summer, or in front of an open log fire with a wee dram (selected from over 100 malts) in the cooler months!

Self Catering Scotland offers accommodation in Heather Lodge in Blairgowrie, Perthshire in a substantial Victorian merchant's house (dating back to 1850), conveniently situated in a peaceful location within easy walking distance of the town centre. A A self contained wing is available for letting and sleeps 2/4 people.

Tormaukin Hotel in Glendevon, Perthshire, is near Dollar in Clackmannanshire. All eleven rooms were extensively refurbished in January 2011 and each has satellite flat screen TV and complimentary wi-fi is available throughout the hotel. Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are provided as well as luxury toiletries. Each of the rooms has en-suite facilities with bath and/or shower. There is a mixture of single, twin and double rooms and a few of the rooms are large enough to accommodate families of four.

Woodlea Hotel in York Place in Perth on the edge of the city centre, was once the manse of the adjacent church building. Individual Locations in Fife

Abbotshill House on the North East Fife/Perthshire border on the edge of Newburgh, is an imposing, period property (circa 1843) offering four-star self-catering, holiday accommodation for up to eight people in four bedrooms. All have a colour television plus video or DVD, drinks cooler, hair dryer and a teasmaid. There are magnificent views over Newburgh, to the Carse of Gowrie, and the Sidlaw Hills beyond.

Aberdour Hotel is a family-run Hotel situated in one of Fife's picturesque coastal villages. It specialises in traditional cooking and real ales. In the days before railways and the motor car, it was a staging-post for stage coaches and so has a courtyard and stable block. Although the buildings date back to the 17th century, all the recently refurbished sixteen bedrooms have ensuite facilities.

Backmarch House is a former Georgian farmhouse built in 1829 which has been renovated to provide quality bed and breakfast accommodation in central Rosyth in Fife (just over the Forth Bridges and not far from Edinburgh. AA and Scottish Tourist Board 4-star rating.

Castaway Cottage - where it always feels like Friday! A traditional Self-Catering Cottage on the beach in Lower Largo, a resort village in the East Neuk of Fife, not far from St Andrews. This stone built cottage built in 1809 has been converted and extended and has spectacular views as far as the Firth of Forth, with a private walled patio area which fronts onto the beach.

Cluny Cottage is a self-catering holiday cottage in the seaside resort of Lower Largo in the East Neuk of Fife. There is accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. Lower Largo was was once a busy port and the home of Alexander Selkirk, the real-life character who inspired the story of Robinson Crusoe. The beach, the local pub and the village shop are all less than 500 metres from the cottage.

Dunclutha Guest House in Leven, Fife, was originally the Rectory for the nearby Scottish Episcopal Church and was solidly built over 100 years ago and recently refurbished. Kingswood Hotel on the outskirts of Burntisland in Fife, nestles in over 2 acres of gardens and woodland with panoramic views of the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh. Built circa 1850 by the Johnstone family, sugar planters from Jamaica, the Kingswood remained a private residence until around 1930. Rankin and Kathryn Bell have personally managed it as a hotel since 1986.

Old Manor Country House Hotel is a 4-star hotel in the village of Lundin Links, near St Andrews, Fife. It was built in the mid-19th Century as a private residence and was converted to a hotel in 1951 and has been extended and refurbished over the last few years. It is highly regarded for its high standard of dining (Aithernie Restaurant and the informal Coachman's Bistro), banqueting (Lundie and Largo suite) and corporate facilities. There are en-suite rooms including three four-poster bedrooms, most with sea views and several with balconies.
